OUR STORY
We are the professional potters Amanda Leipert and Julie Hickman. We create most of the pottery pieces available for sale in our shops. We also offer pottery workshops and events for children and adults!
We have worked together for over ten years, having met at Historic Cold Spring Village where we shared our pottery skills with visitors from around the world. Our shared love of creating and teaching pottery led us to go into business and form The Madd Potters Studio. We have had several locations throughout the county and have now established a new studio where we can combine our love of teaching and creating in one space.
We opened our doors at the Cape May Airport Complex location in the summer of 2019. In addition to the gallery space, we have a working pottery studio and Auburn Road wine tasting room. We are thrilled to finally be able to pass along our love of clay by offering pottery workshops, private events and classes offered by other local professional artists in various media.
From our humble beginnings of selling primarily our own work, to now offering artisan wares created both locally and sourced from around the country, The Madd Potters Studio strives to be your go-to shop when you need that special, one of a kind gift. You can find us at the West End Garage where we showcase a range of our pieces and at our Cape May County Airport location, where you can shop, relax and experience the wonder of making pottery yourself.
